The keyless entry enables you to go in and out of an area without ever having to pull out a key. Well, lets back up. Some keyless entries require a fob key, not a traditional key, while others have a keypad. The keypad is programmed with a pre-determined code. You, the owner, decide what you would like for the code to be. Once the correct code is entered into the system, the lock will disengage. You don’t have to worry about fumbling around looking for a key in the dark or when the weather is bad outside. Who doesn’t like the idea of being able to get immediate access without a key? If someone in your home loses their key, you don’t have to be inconvenienced by waiting around to let them in. Perhaps you have houseguests coming to visit. All you would have to do is provide them with a code for the keypad. You don’t have to risk leaving them a key, which someone else could find before they even arrive. The threat of your home being broken into is eliminated. This is one of the many benefits derived from a keyless entry.

Easy Keypad Access

Many of the keypads that we install can be installed in no time at all. They light up at night so that you are able to see the keypad even in the dark and avoid mistyping the code. We usually install them near your homes doorknob, which makes it easy and convenient for everyone to access.

Backup

When your keyless entry is installed, you are given two access passwords that make it possible for you to unlock the door if you have forgotten the passcode you created. This means that even if you don’t have the code, you still have access inside.

Better Security

There is absolutely no denying the level of convenience that a keyless entry offers to those who use it. You may also be pleased to know that it also provides you with better security. If you lose your key, you don’t have to be concerned with it being used to get into your home. If someone happens to have your code that you no longer wish to have access, all you have to do is reprogram the code. This is something that you can do yourself so you don’t have to rely on someone else to do this for you. There is no keyhole that they tamper with. When a burglar realizes that you have a keyless entry, they might find it more challenging than they are prepared to deal with and go to the next house. They want an easy way to get in and out and if they have to take the time to figure out how to get inside your home with a keyless entry, they will usually abandon the pursuit.

Allowing Temporary Access

Suppose you are having houseguests over and you cannot be there when they arrive. You may have to create a code that they can use to gain access into your home. The code can be a temporary code, which will no longer work once they have gained access. It can also be programmed to work during their entire stay so that you do not have to worry about their ability to freely get in and out. You have the ability to disarm the code at any point. The same is true if you have someone performing work in your home. If it is someone that you trust, you can create a specific code, just for them, so that they can gain access into your home whenever necessary. Being able to change the code, at will, gives you all of the convenience that comes with owning a keyless entry. Why not take full advantage of all that it offers.

Remote Access

Many of the keyless locks that are installed, also come with remote controls. If you forget to give someone a code or simply do not want them to have a code, you can unlock the door remotely. If you happen to forget your code, for some reason, having remote access serves as backup to gain access. As if the lock were not already convenient enough, this simply takes it to another level. Many of our customers tell us that they can’t believe they ever lived without this type of lock and now that they have it, they are glad that they made the switch.
